Sound Light Bulb

This article is about sound light bulbs that blink with talking or music.

Figure 1: Circuit.

A signal is amplified from an audio source to drive two 1.5 V light bulbs:

Step 1: Design the Circuit

The circuit is designed so that it is connected to a 1 Amp power supply.

Figure 2: Design the Circuit.

This circuit might not work if connected to low-current batteries because there is no power supply filtering to reduce the cost of the circuit.

Step 2: Simulations

Simulations show that the response time is very quick:

Figure 3: Simulations.

Step 3: Build the Circuit

Those are the five images of building the circuit.

First, you drill the holes for the heat sink:

Figure 4: Build the Circuit.

Then you attach the heat sink to the matrix board:

Figure 5: Build the Circuit.

Then you attach the power transistor with heat transfer paste:
Figure 6: Build the Circuit.

Then you add additional components:
Figure 7: Build the Circuit.

This is a detailed description of components:
Figure 8: Build the Circuit.

Conclusion

There is a good chance that the circuit might oscillate because there is no power supply filtering to reduce the cost.
